Who we are & what we teach
Ohr Pnimi, The Kabbalah Institute of America, is a refuge for those who have attempted the study of Kabbalah, but yearn for a more authentic and deeper understanding. We pursue both the study and practice of the teachers of our Masters, Rabbi Yehudah Leib Ashlag ZT”L the “Baal HaSulam,” and his eldest son, Rabbi Baruch Shalom Ashlag, the Rabash.
Our approach
With the explosion of the study of Kabbalah in the world today, much of what we find is inauthentic and contrary to the actual teachings of Kabbalah. This is one of the reasons why we’re counselled “to find yourself a rabbi.” The wisdom of the kabbalah is one that is to be passed from teacher to student, in a chain that links us back to the beginnings of the tradition.
